CASE STUDY
Budget: £5000
Size: 62M2
Duration: 5 Days
Preperation: The project was split over two levels, with each level having to be installed indvidually to allow for the movement of furniture. Both levels had old laminate flooring with fibre board underlay that had to be uplifted and removed and on the lower ground there was another LVT flooring hiding below which was also removed.
The ground floor then had 6mm ply installed thoughout, fixed using 28mm screws, and given 2 coats of Ardex Feather Finish in order create a flat floor.
The lower ground floor was given a coat of F77 damp proof membrane and then a 3mm coat of Stopgap 1200 Pro smoothing compound.
Installation: Altro Walkway 20 ‘Tarragon’ was installed throughout the property using F46 pressure sensitive adhesive rolled with a 68KG roller, and coved up the wall using white Gradus capping and cove former using Gemini Grabfast Gold contact adhesive. As there was skirting installed throughout we used the exsisting, sound skirting as our height level for the capping. All joints were then hot welded.
We finished the project using Genesis NSL 15 nosings and a new coir matting, with aluminium trims.
Aftercare: All waste was properly disposed of using a wait and load service. The site was left clean and tidy and Altro aftercare documents were left with the client.
